The Designer
Terra Malia is a Santa Barbara local who is an enthusiast for all things natural, vibrant and sustainable. The inspiration from her designs comes from her love of the ocean and earth. She was born and raised on the Hawaiian Islands and now lives in Santa Barbara with her husband and two daughters. Her love for natural beauty shows in her creations, as she has a talent for showcasing the elements that are alive within plants and gems.
Her design team consists of her family, as her two young daughters, Talia and Solei, inevitably end up getting their small hands in the dirt. Her husband, David, helps to construct vessels to hold the living arrangements.
The designs are born from a consciousness where materials used are alive when showcased, put back into the soil to grow and then reused. Business practices are good for the earth and people.
Terra Malia has found that the best things in life to surround yourself with are those things you are incredibly inspired by. She is blessed to live at Orella Ranch on the Gaviota Coast that hosts workshops & courses promoting permaculture, natural building and organic agriculture. Her home is host to the gardens where succulents grow, are propagated and arranged. Many times, you will find Terra Malia creating pieces for the latest jewelry collection from the deck that overlooks the Pacific Ocean or in the garden next to where the horses run wild.
